Sadly, it doesn't matter if he said it when it is entirely reasonable to believe that he did. It isn't the most racist or the stupidest thing this guy has said on national television.

Agreed, Mexican food is one of the greatest culinary flavor profiles the world has known so far. This guy looks like he sits around eating mayonnaise out of the jar with a spoon. He's probably just mad that mayo prices went up.

Completely glancing over the fact that there is exactly zero Mexican items at Taco Bell. Everything there is some kinda bastardized American Midwest slop. I think the only actual Spanish on the memo is "gordita" which loosely translates into ~~fat bitch~~ little fatty (really out of practice with my Spanish), which seems fitting.
Taco Bell sells tacos that are reasonably close to Mexican street tacos. Obviously not as good, but it's a small soft tortilla with fillings, that's what you get in Mexico too.
Burritos are also Mexican, though they're not as common across the whole country as tacos. The modern burrito comes from Ciudad Juarez right on the border with Texas.
Most of the rest of the Taco Bell menu isn't authenitcally Mexican, but I'd say their core menu items are tacos and burritos.
Ehhh... "gordita" does not translate to "Fat Bitch" but "Little Faty"...
But little fatty is just a pure translation. It actually just means something closer to "thick" as in "that tortilla is a little thick"..."esa tortilla esta gordita....hey! Ya se! Porque no les ponemos "gorditas"! Vale?" "Orale compadre, entonces ya quedamos, son gorditas! Son o estan? Son! Luego que tal si algun pendejo en China No's traduce a estan y empiesan a discriminar? No no, son gorditas. Okay pies, entonces so gorditas y ya OK? Ok! Porque cabrones dices OK? Quiero decir que estoy de acuerdo contigo. Today la genre dice okay!

I don't speak Spanish, but based on the absolutely tiny bit I do know, would this mean quesadillas would become "little cheesies"?
So, apparently it comes from "quesada" which was a form of cheesecake, and the "illa" diminutive ending. Over time it has come to mean a fried tortilla with cheese and other fillings.... except...
In Mexico City, quesadillas don't necessarily have cheese in them. The rest of the country makes fun of them for it. But, if you're ever in Mexico City and want a nice cheesy quesadilla, be sure to order a "quesadilla con queso".
Damn it, now I'm hungry.
