"Sapio" is an open source, crowdsourced app you can get from F-droid which is designed to track and list which android apps will or will not work on a Gapps-free Android device.

Its searchable, per-app list has separate compatibility categories for straight AOSP/vanilla ROMs as well as devices with microG.

For each one of those categories it will show a color-coded legend:

Green - works with no limitations Yellow - works with some limitations Red - Doesn't work at all

You can also contribute to Sapio by sharing your personal app compatibility experiences. The more submissions they get, the handier this tool becomes for all of us. ☺️

I have used both, personally I prefer kavita as it runs faster.

However kavita needs to create user accounts as well as it is auto categorizing books and comics which personally I hate, especially for my cybersecurity books.

Now try to use most of Banking applications (even McDonalds app lol) Most of these application require Google Play Integrity. So practically, you are enforced to use Google Play Services or buy a second device to run android with gapps and then power it off (that's what I did)

But in most of OEMs you cannot relock the bootloader with your own key..

Many applications especially banks require Google Safetynet to be functional, even without root. I am running DivestOS, a hardened version of LineageOS without gapps, and I can't have access on my bank because I chose freedom. Democracy at its finest...

If you are trading, its a cheaper choice. (Except if you are trading in Blockchains like polygon) Also, "not your keys not your coins", but most people are losing access to their Facebook account (without 2FA), they have no chance to keep their own keys..

Binance has no problem with its clients. FTX literally invested the money of the people in high risk assets, and they ended up bankrupted.

In the day of the Binance's trial, people withdraw more than billion of dollars worth Cryptos. Binance didn't end up bankrupt as they are holding A LOT.
