First thing that came in to my mind was Gears of War with its specific third person view and hiding behind covers. I don't think it was the first game with that mechanic but the most influential one

Once you finish New Vegas you will "forget" to post screenshots, right? It was just a way to sell New Vegas to others?

While I agree with the sentiment when a show like South Park influences anyone's political decisions then they are lost anyway

TIL the first Star Wars movie (A New Hope) was actually made after a book adaptation, which means Star Wars hype is technically literary-based in nature in c/til@lemmy.world

IntelliJ has source available here under Apache-2 license. AFAIK only Pro edition is proprietary.

Android Studio has no source but there is one for Android IntelliJ plugin here.

Maybe I'm missing something but to me these cases are pretty different.

I liked the original. It's been a while since I've had a single thought about the game so I'll check it out. It starts as a horror but turns into a classic shooter later on. I remember it being good anyway.

You can use IntelliJ Community to develop Android apps with an Android plugin.
