Oh yeah, I’ve noticed that myself. I can’t blame ‘em, of course (it takes A LOT of work to make a good app) and it’s a beta release so it’s obviously gonna be buggy…but it does kinda suck for the beta testers who also wanted a halfway functional app.

Problem: Brands start leaving Twitter

Solution: Increase the price of Twitter Blue

More like blaming the chef in a restaurant chain for the menu. Some corporate entity might be the one crafting the menu, but they’re still the ones cooking.

That isn’t to say we should hound the devs, but I thought we could use a better example.

That pink color looks fantastic. Please let it be an option…

There’s plenty of apps out there that improve on the web experience, like the eleventy billion Lemmy apps.

Because people can’t seem to understand the difference between ‘criticizing stuff while also being aware of and acknowledging its benefits’ vs ‘mindlessly bashing something whenever you get the chance bcuz tribalism’.

Hell, even Marx praised capitalism for the immense wealth that it has generated for the masses, which so many so-called ‘socialists’ don’t seem to understand.

Hardware:

They make high-quality hardware and I like that they’re trying to do something new and interesting with foldable tech, but I’ve never been a fan of their Exynos processors and foldables (imo) have proven to be little more than a gimmick that sacrifices far too much on durability for minimal benefit to most people.

Software:

I hate bloatware, and I’m not a fan of their crusade against open bootloaders.

It’s honestly amazing how quickly a lot of developing countries have embraced this stuff. Hell, even roadside hawkers in a country like India accept instant bank transfers. It’s ridiculous that the US is so far behind.
