You gotta be a real scumbag to rip off Kenney. What is wrong with people?

There are system dialogs that have unused space for ads, still plenty to improve!

In all seriousness, cloud (azure) and office subscriptions blew up and account for like 70% of MS profits. They know the Windows experience is lacking, but when they already capture so much of the market and it's such a small slice of revenue, they have no incentive to improve.

The combined forces of microsoft reaching new heights of greed and intrusion, plus the massive dev efforts for the best ever GNU Linux and Proton ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Arch wiki says

Both the wired and wireless (with the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows) controllers are supported by the xpad kernel module and should work without additional packages.

I guess my question is, have you tried plugging in the receiver? You'll need the receiver for it to work, they are 2.4Ghz not BT

Some shows we've watched spend their time "recapping" after the 'ad breaks", playing same scenes we just saw. Drives me nuts, wastes my time and feels so dated.

Maybe they could add some kind of auto scrolling view that informs what is playing at those times? That'd be handy, sometimes I can't find anything to watch.

Awesome! Hope you enjoy it, they're great machines. Only tip I have is take a few minutes to learn how to use steam input. Once you can craft your own context menus and input schemes, it unlocks a ton of potential. Take advantage of the gyro, touchpads and rear buttons. It totally changed how I play truck simulator, and I set up a custom scheme for city of heroes, tons of fun and very usable for an MMO.

64gb is only really worth it if you intended to immediately upgrade the drive. Shader cache and updates stay on the main memory even for games that are on an SD card, over time it will fill up. it's worth going for the 512 for a seamless useable system. Just my 2c as a deck owner.

I dropped my launch edition steam deck last night on carpet and while all the buttons still worked- something was rattling inside of it. After I opened it up I discovered a missing chunk of plastic from the R2 trigger, that piece presses against another to keep the button from over articulating. I suspect this trigger absorbed most of the impact, there was no other visible damage.

Of course I was upset that I broke it, but so very pleasantly surprised to find ifixit had the trigger in stock and reasonably priced. This availability made me love the deck even more, and really the fact valve made these parts available places the deck above any other competition in my mind.

This machine is built to last, I am so excited to get it fixed and get back to gaming.

Is there a way to filter or block communities from appearing temporarily, without unsubscribing from them? Preferably with a toggle?

It would be useful to hide posts from various sports communities when unable to watch a game live, or movie/game communities around big releases. This was an RIF feature and I really miss it.

Oh so now it's the forbidden fumes. That's even more tempting

The protests are that much more notable because the pharmacists don't have a union and aren't asking for better pay. They primarily want their employers to hire more staff to alleviate the workload and to eliminate policies that push them to work faster. They say those conditions are making it more likely they will make a mistake that could harm a patient.

Highlighting because people don't read articles - they are protesting to ensure patients are safe from the speed of greed. I for one would like my medication properly compounded and dosed. Good for these workers, get them more hands.
