Prob aren't getting severance nor unemployment if you get fired for 2 weeks of no-call-no-show.

"How long has it been since we've waltzed?"

"Oh, Gomez...hours."

This is not how tax deductions for charitable donations work.

  1. You round up to the dollar for a 50c donation
  2. The business has 50c extra income
  3. They write off 50c as tax deductible
  4. They pay the exact same taxes whether or not you make a donation

His name is canonically Mario Mario. His brother is Luigi Mario.

A cool thing I learned from their public filing is that Spez makes 192M in total compensation, and the company has been running around 150M deficit.

That's the makings of a very profitable investment, you know 🙄

I saw a post where someone was listing the reasons Texas would do better as an independent country, they were talking about its economy, freedoms, whatever...

And the fact that it has "warm water ports", which is a hot button topic for one country and pretty much nobody else...

There's that, but there are also more legal consumer protections against fraud with credit cards than with debit cards.

What is your background. "A job using Linux" is super broad and remote work only narrows it further. If you don't have plenty of experience, it'll be hard to get a remote position.

FWIW, this isn't a "now" problem, it's been the US position for a long time. Still shitty though.

I read once that a major reason the coffee is supposed to be good, is that the animals (in the wild) tend to seek out the ripest, healthiest coffee beans to eat. They're abundant (prior to human intervention), so why settle for less?

But then we cage them and force-feed them whatever, so they're just medium (or low) quality beans to start with. So even if you look past the cruelty, it's not even the quality of coffee the reputation suggests.
