I wonder who they 'borrowed' the design from?
This is such a eyerolling take based on stereotypes.
Before America banned Huawei, Huawei was widely recognized as having the best camera system on a phone. Under your worldview they can't invent anything themselves and somehow borrowed their way into being the best.
30 years of hardcore industrial espionage destroyed hundreds of companies due to ip theft if you steal from everyone and combine all of that knowledge did you really make it yourself?

After decades of outsourcing everything to China, they gathered so much technological experience, they don't even need to copy a specific design.
