Things that make me irrationally angry? Only three of these videos have anything to do with cream, and the video that I was searching for with cream in the title isn't even in the results!

Just the search in history? Bruh, the entire YT history feature has been the single most unreliable piece of regurgitated Satan hell hound dog shit I've ever had the pleasure of using

Better to just use browser history, OP could search "YouTube cream" and likely find it. I had to change my settings to stop Firefox from deleting my oldest pages in history though.

Yeah I turned history off. I don’t want google to have my data thanks.

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

Lol, your YouTube history is just a copy of your data presented in a browsable format. They have your data regardless

YouTube recommendations are just as bad. I HATE YouTube. I wish more people used other platforms.

I was promised dogs.

I searched for a specific motorbike by brand and model number, but my results were full of nvidia graphics card reviews…

[–] Cris_Color@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Who is Jerma, and why does his crap clog my YouTube feed? Except it's not Jerma's stuff, but people making videos about Jerma.

[–] moosetwin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I don't have a good answer, but I do have an obnoxious answer if you'd like

[–] DemBoSain@midwest.social 2 points 2 weeks ago

...I'm listening...

Oh yeah, that history search is absolute garbage and has been so for a few years now, it's sometimes easier to do a normal YT search, i've been tempted many times to do a periodic Takeout and use the result to do a proper local search, but honestly feels like too much work for the purpose
