I'm impressed this pun works in multiple languages.

What does it look like in your language?

[–] DieguiTux8623@feddit.it 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)
  • "vive in un'altra nazione."
  • "quale nazione?"
  • "la mia immagi-nazione"

I ran that through one of the Italian bots on https://www.naturalreaders.com/online/ and I don't understand why I found it so funny.

Understandable, because both "natio" and "imaginatio" exist in Latin, and both words are used almost with no differences in many other languages.

Notable exception among romance languages would be Romanian where "imaginație" and "națiune" evolved differently.

“Nație” also exists, although it's dated.
