Hey everyone,

I'm using GrapheneOS and I'm looking for a keyboard that can access two language dictionaries at the same time (in my specific use case: German and Englisch. The standard keyboard in grapheneOS has a switch button for the languages, but I find that rather annoying.

Do you have any suggestions?

AnySoftKeyboard, you have to add the language to the keyboard, which is not in the settings menu but actually accessed from the keyboard itself. For that you press and hold the Enter key and select 'override default dictionary'. There you add all languages for the keyboards you chose.

I just tried it (thank you BTW) and it says no App Store found when I try to install new languages, any idea?

If you flashed Graphene onto your phone, 100% spend the time and setup AnySoftKeyboard for it!

Mike Kuketz, has created an article for best Android apps for graphene OS. It is in Herman, but maybe it helps.

I have the same dilemma as you, except with French rather than German. I tried AnySoftKeyboard, which was the best FOSS keyboard I've tried, but the autocorrect basically defaulted to English even when I was trying to type French sentences.

I ended up just setting up SwiftKey and revoking network permissions after downloading the French dictionnary. My dependence on autocorrect slightly outweighs my FOSS values.
