I thought of Noel when I saw her.
I want to be friends with her. She seems fun.

I though poppy at first but they look more pink than red.

Wikipedia says that Americans’ Veterans Day is called Remembrance Day—and less often Poppy Day—in the Commonwealth, and that many wear red flowers—often artificial—in observance.
Could be red plastic flowers reflecting sunlight and washing them out.
