Please write it out as image transcript, so that Google can continue to poison its llm with internet garbage

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 9 points 4 months ago (1 children)

What do I do, in the subtext box or?

[–] Hexarei@programming.dev 1 points 4 months ago

Just here in the comments as a top level comment, as an explanation of the image

[–] mrgreyeyes@feddit.nl 19 points 4 months ago (1 children)

We have Google A.I. for that.

[–] ccunning@lemmy.world 6 points 4 months ago

Now we just wait for Lemmy to sign that big Gemini deal so this post can be assimilated.

[–] MargotRobbie@lemmy.world 15 points 4 months ago (1 children)

As Lemmy's resident Barbie expert, that's fake news.

In Barbieland, they are called "brine prawns".

"Barbie", now available on Blu-ray and select streaming services.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

So... are you still saying you won't do a sequel or have you caved to billions of dollars' worth of pressure?

[–] AhismaMiasma@lemm.ee 5 points 4 months ago (2 children)

That's Academy Award winning actress Margot Robbie and she does not cave to money.

But a sequel would be cool...

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

One hopes not since Gerwig likely wouldn't be involved and Robbie and Gosling didn't sign a multi-picture deal.

I think a sequel with a really good idea behind it might be cool, but some stories should be one and done and I don't really know that any more needs to be said with live-action Barbie.

Meanwhile, Mattel has licensed 14 other properties for movies.

One of them is Uno. Really.

[–] Klear@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

Yeah, I'm not against sequels in principle. Sometimes I just want to have another trip to whichever world the movie takes place. Barbie though... I love that movie, but I really don't see any way to make any sort of sequel and have it be good.

[–] MargotRobbie@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

Like for example, "Barbie 2: The Search for More Brine Prawns".

[–] Spesknight@lemmy.world 10 points 4 months ago (1 children)

That's also why she likes Foamingos

Foaming OS. It's a new distro based on Arch. It's so frustrating and difficult to maintain that you'll be foaming at the mouth from sheer rage.

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 10 points 4 months ago (3 children)

What some of you call "misinformation" I call "a joke." Sometimes things are funny because they're not true.

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 6 points 4 months ago

I said disinformation.

[–] cRazi_man@lemm.ee 5 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes comics. The dad does this constantly. Technically, this is benign trolling.

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 5 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

There was a subreddit for getting answers to questions in the form of something Calvin's dad would say, long ago (/r/ExplainLikeImCalvin IIRC?). It was pretty fun.

[–] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Tell that to Hasan Minaj.

[–] myusernameis@lemmy.ca 10 points 4 months ago

Fact: This is actually where the phrase "shrimp on the barbie" comes from. It has nothing to do with BBQ.

[–] Atelopus-zeteki@kbin.run 9 points 4 months ago (2 children)

That's right friends, those Sea-monkeys (https://www.sea-monkeys.com/) you raised as children, it's a fact that this is a major part of Barbie's diet.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

When she's really hungry she has Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. And wonders why Ken goes all pink watching her eat them.

Ken doesn't know why, either.

[–] MargotRobbie@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Especially since Ken canonically does not have genitals.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

My brother totally thought they would be little mer-people with crowns like in the ads and was so pissed off when they turned out to be really tiny shrimp you could barely see.

[–] Atelopus-zeteki@kbin.run 2 points 4 months ago

Smae!!! LoL

[–] JizzmasterD@lemmy.ca 7 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

Don’t forget about the white wine or Beaver Boys

[–] Kyatto@leminal.space 6 points 4 months ago

Shrimp are pretty rich though, if you eat too much you'll get sick.

[–] PhlubbaDubba@lemm.ee 4 points 4 months ago

TIL Barbie's property is affected by her diet as though she was in possession of an awakened devil fruit.

[–] buttfarts@lemy.lol 4 points 4 months ago

Chugging it like a big foamy smoothie

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago

Ok so where do blue waffles come from?
