I like the idea of this particular song and would love for some human mellow jazz singer to have had a spot of viral success with it. The quality of the product is quite eerie to be honest!
The way I see it, this is an addition, not a replacement. I mean, the MIT license has existed for decades. Plenty of time for any interested human singer to have done it.
We're going to see a lot of amusing ideas brought to life that would otherwise have simply not been worth the person-hours.
I mean, I do love a so-bad-it's-good novelty song so why not?

Another way of looking at it is that we've had image macros and memes for a long time, and part of the charm and success of the format is precisely that it requires very little effort, anyone can do it, and there are a million variations. I don't have a problem with the same idea in audio form.

This sounds like some corporation has taken over open source and their head quarter waiting room plays this song for the visitors. So that they appear user and open source friendly.
The song that you hear in a lift of a hyper-corporate tech park? This is that song.

That was pretty bangin' lol. As long as the AI gives me conciliatory songs to listen to then I think I'm okay with it...
