How are we supposed to kiss when I don't even know what Linux distro you run

[-] ivanafterall@kbin.social 54 points 2 months ago

Be careful with girls who try to go all the way to kissing in the first few months.

Such lewd language.

agreed, the distro choice is a key factor for the KISS principle

[-] Hiro8811@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

This post makes a sweeping assumption Linux users would have women flirt with them.

[-] Prunebutt@slrpnk.net 39 points 2 months ago

Of course they have! Other linux users after transition, namely!

[-] 0x4E4F@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 months ago

Most probably Arch users.

This meme format is fantastic

One is measurable, the other is guesswork.

[-] 0x4E4F@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 months ago

Apparently, it's "obvious to everyone, except you [me]"... or at least that's what my wife tells me.

[-] phoneymouse@lemmy.world 37 points 2 months ago

A library running .2s slower will get flagged by your perf testers and you’ll need to get escalated approval to release your changes. It will be a pain.

[-] where_am_i@sh.itjust.works 41 points 2 months ago

And then eventually you will figure out it was a plot for a world-domination level backdoor, ha.

And yet you'll still be single.

Do you really think such mastery would be possible with the influence of a woman? Those heroes chose solitude for the rest of us. Praised be our virgins!

And would you call SSH a library?

[-] sarchar@programming.dev 10 points 2 months ago

It's a component of a larger system.

It’s normal that you can’t find the library, you have to compile it from source.

[-] SteveTech@programming.dev 8 points 2 months ago

They probably mean gir1.2

[-] backhdlp@iusearchlinux.fyi 6 points 2 months ago

they used to be quite common, but nowadays you need to compile them yourself with the "replace-testosterone" patch. It's also recommended to use the "cat-ears" patch, and, if you can, also the "cat-tail" patch, but that isn't necesarily required to get it working.

My wife gets so mad at me when I don’t know why she walks up and takes my arm when a lady’s talking to me 😆

[-] DickFiasco@lemm.ee 4 points 2 months ago

Get a load of this guy - he's got ladies just coming up and talking to him.

[-] Juice88@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

On occasion… I don’t leave the house enough for it to be common lol

[-] Mubelotix@jlai.lu 4 points 2 months ago

Wrong. Always getting more false positive than false negatives
