Not all the media is giving him a "free pass." I've read several articles about him going full nutjob and totally losing it. Of course a person only has to hear him speak once to know he's off his rocker - and we've had several years of his s#it being shoveled in our direction.

You can say "shit" on the Internet.

[-] tygerprints@kbin.social 31 points 7 months ago

Good to know. Shit, shit shit, shit! Hey you're right. This - this changes the whole game for me!

I appreciated it, anyway. Love getting hassled for trying to raise the level even one tiny bit. Que sera sera.

DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN CURSE ON THIS THING

Uh, yeah. Yes.

It's obvious he was saying "shit." Nobody was fooled. No class was gained.

If you don't want to say "shit," just don't say it. It's ridiculous to pretend you're not saying it when typing out all but one letter. Nothing is gained.

I completely agree, which is why I don't swear in public or on the Internet. I also don't mind when others do. But trying to semi-censor yourself just calls more attention to the curse than your actual message, which is worse for everyone.

I'm not going to swear, but you go ahead if you want, and hopefully we can get on with addressing the content of each other's points.

It's a losing fight, but I'll keep fighting it anyway while I'm on the can.

Yeah, I'm swearing enough for three or four, so we need people like you to keep the balance.

Well I'm just being facetious (in a shitty sort of way). I have often written stronger words on this platform. I've just been trying to tone down all the expletives a bit, even if it requires leaving a letter out here and there. I didn't mean to cause an uproar by not spelling out "shit" in all its innate glory.

Why not just replace it entirely, then, with "garbage" or something?

[-] PwnTra1n@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago

Are these news articles? Or are they opinions or editorials? Big difference.
