It is pretty crazy to think that for literally thousands of years, every single ancestral pairing, going all the way back to the first lil mud skippers that flopped up on land, have decided to produce offspring, which is ultimately the only reason you're even alive today.

And when it's your turn to uphold the unbroken tradition dating back millennia, you're just like 'naaaaaaah, fuck that yo'????

Honestly that's fuckin awesome! The point of life is your own personal experience, and you should absolutely do everything you can to push it in the direction of your choosing, tradition be damned. ✌️

At this point, I actually think the meth is more socially acceptable, too.

I think that's a fair assessment, mine isn't all that dissimilar.

My understanding is there were only a few meters between the weight drop and complete communication loss, so either something went wrong directly related to dropping ballast, which caused the implosion, or perhaps cues the sub was in peril were ignored/misinterpreted by the captain, and the weight drop was his ineffective corrective measure.

From what I've read about the captian, I think his hubris would have never allowed him to fully consider they might be in real danger.

That theory doesn't explain why they suddenly dropped ballast and attempted an ascension prior to implosion, though.

E. After doing some digging, the comments about the Titan having dropped weights and was ascending during implosion came from James Cameron. Not sure if that makes it more or less trustworthy...

This post reminds me of a friend of mine who likes a song so much, he will only listen to it twice a year, once on New Year's and once on his birthday. He says each time is like the first time because "the pathways stay fresh". He's been consistent for at least 7 years.
