I have some questions: What read/write speeds? Is it even writeable in a reasonable way? (CD/DVD burners blast your disk with a laser and "cook" darker patches that are your data) How long does it live on this disk?

I've spent a great deal of time on 4chan and i can say that both content and style matches.

Temperatures would be okay in the twilight zone, not sure about water, but winds would blow you out of your shoes.

I see one use-case, If you're going w/ sth illegal as hell to a place where you might get arrested and searched for just being there i.e a protest, nuking your (illegal) data might save your ass.

Same! I would also cram a small server and ton of tools into it so i would have a portable hackerspace.

You would be pumping your server heat into mass of water and just swapping it from time to time with cold water from lake/sea/river/whatever.

MuPDF is good for books and comics, KOReader is better but it takes time to learn it. I would get a big SD card, download movies/books/stuff on pc and just transfer them using SMB/(S)FTP/USB.
