I used to root my android phone to limit battery charge + adaway. But recently I finally gave up with rooting due to all the restrictions that comes along with it.

All I know is piracy definitely has an impact on bad games/products and if you give the consumer something worth buying, they will most definitely buy it if or when they can afford to.

They might also recommend it to their friends or talk about it online which lead to additional sales that would not happen if they didn't sail the high sea.

It really is. It does everything just as well as an 6900xt at a lower price point.

Yes it is worth it if you want to upgrade now.

Even if you somehow find an used 6900xt that is cheaper you are giving up better rt performance, new features, longer driver support, warranty so imo i don't think that is worth over getting a brand new 7800xt at its current price point.

Waiting is also an option. But it is hard to tell with AMD not competing for the high-end market with their 8000 series. Owners of 7900xtx may just opt to wait till 9000 series to upgrade.

Morepowertool version 1.3.9 is what you are looking for. Unfortunately it won't work with 7000 series and future AMD cards due to AMD decision to lock down bios.

Tomshardware's GPU Hierarchy has the 6900xt being around 3.2% better in gaming performance (FPS) with 1080P Ultra. 5% in 1440p Ultra. Raise the power limit on the 6800xt and overclock and it is basically a 6900xt.

That was also why 6800xt was the best price/performance and the most popular card of the 6000 series.

There are 6900xt with xtx and xtxh die with the latter being in another class of its own. The xtxh 6900xt offer the same level of performance as the 6950xt and those are the only 6900xt that were worth getting over a 6800xt.

I am perfectly happy with my 6900xt. Running it at 220w limit which still manage 20k graphical score in Time-spy. The trade-off was 10% performance vs 350w for 37% power reduction and roughly 5% performance lost vs 300w for 27% power reduction.

Previously was running tuned for 300w but have since switched to 220w for good. Performance lost in game is not noticeable but the reduction from 220w-250w max power draw to 150-170w is huge. PC is completely silent and i can game alot longer without having to turn on the AC.

7800 XT is a good purchase since it is pretty much a better version of 6900xt out of the box. (Not comparing with those xtxh 6900xt that are throwing away power efficiency for that additional 10% performance vs running at 350w limit.

My opinion is that with or without denuvo a good game or product will always sell itself.

Take Wukong black myth for example. Even without denuvo i believe it will still become a huge commerical success. Perhaps it would even have sold more units because there are people who simply refuse to buy any game no matter how good it is as long as it has denuvo.

Piracy definitely has an impact on mediocre game that is lacking in every aspect. But then again the average person who pirate is probably broke and is probably never going buying it anyway so 🤷‍♂️

When you are six hours into playing Battlefield and you run out of ammo in your clip, and we ask you for a dollar to reload, you're really not very price sensitive at that point in time. A consumer gets engaged in a property, they might spend 10,20,30,50 hours on the game and then when they're deep into the game they're well invested in it. We're not gouging, but we're charging and at that point in time the commitment can be pretty high. But it is a great model and I think it represents a substantially better future for the industry.

I was reminded of this. They would if they could. I am glad i am not living in that timeline.

Wouldn't the android box, fire stick connecting the internet be doing the same thing that you don't want your smart TV to be doing?

I always always thought getting one of those was to either circumvent the TV OS limitation (Example LG webOS) or to improve user experience on entry level smart TV or older smart TV.

It is always such a satisfying feeling to loot the $999 weapon skin off your enemy dead body.

Thank you for spending on my behalf and letting me play this game as a f2p and for letting me use your rare skin.

I avoid any games that have p2w mtx but I can tolerate it somewhat if it is a PvE only or 'single player' like in Genshin-like games.

I dislike the practice of having mtx of any kind in pay to play games so I tend to avoid those too.

Speaking of phones.

I just had to buy new ones recently for the older folks at home because of the lack of VOLTE support on their phones. Those phones were perfectly fine and adequate for their use case (basic call, message) and they wouldn't have to change phones if it were not for the 3G network termination.

Now they have new phones with functions that they will never ever use.
