Help with HDD (lemmy.ml)
submitted 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) by gary_host_laptop@lemmy.ml to c/linux@lemmy.ml

I have a 4TB HDD that I use to store music, films, images, and text files. I have a 250GB SDD that I use to install my OS and video games. So far I didn't have any problem with this setup, obviously it's a bit slower when it reads the HDD but nothing too serious, but lately it's gotten way worse, where it just lags too much when I try to access files on that disk, and specially when it comes to listening to music, it's super annoying. I'm using Elisa music player and it just takes ages to load the albums.

Below is my system and HDD information. I think I'm supposed to use hardlinks or something to access those files, could that be a reason? I've never even fully filled my HDD and it's only 3 years old.

I tried to read you in goofld faith but the moment you basically said the dev shouldn't be able to have a side project, or a life for that matter, because they should be working for you to get the feature you want is unforgivable. It is libre software, you are free to contribute and add it yourself. Value others' work, you entitled fuck.

You still need a terminal emulator capable of displaying images, though, right? Like Kitty, Allacrity won't do the trick.

I created an issue to see if they would be able to implement federation.

I mean when I'm in the page for an anime, is it possible for me to see what a friend of mine has rated it or do I need to go to their profile to see their rating?

Take for example what Backloggd shows me (it's something similar but for video games) when I'm in a game's page:

They are worried of losing control of the narrative, not of the war. They said the quiet part out loud.

Now that I think about it, is this even copyrightable? How can you copyright a letter?

Indonesia, UAE, Argentina, Brazil, Iran, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, etc. While these countries are not actively 100% ditching the dollar right now the simple fact that they are starting to use alternatives speaks of a trend. And we still need to wait for the BRICS to release their plans on their currency, after which the process will accelerate more. It is not only 3 countries, and it is, in my opinion, not so important how much economic power they have, but rather that the strength of the dollar lies in its universal use.

It is because the West sanctions and freezing the money of Russia triggered fears of the same in the Global South, so dedollarisation is happening. Countries are looking for alternatives to not fall in the weaponisation of the dollar, there was a recent article by a former CIA advisor talking about this I will try to link it.

Okay, so Italy, Spain, Finnland, UK and what other European countries are electing fascists? It almost seems like there's a connection here.
