Google is no longer a search engine.

It's a storefront.

This is all very impressive even though I'm not a Mod of anything.

Show if a link is already posted when creating a post, and where.

This feature kinda blows my mind.

Great work!

I am not in charge in any way but I have an opinion.

I've read other people say that Lemmy is a link aggregate and not an OC social media site(I don't necessarily believe that, I believe if that were the case then we wouldn't have "communities" at all). If that is true then I don't see why you can't post anything related to leathercraft here.

Let's be honest, there are very few posts here to begin with. Probably because there isn't a lot of exposure to leathercraft on Lemmy. People need to be exposed to a hobby in order to be interested in it.

I feel as long as the quality of the leathercraft and the post is up to par then feel free to post it. Perhaps with enough nonOC content we will get more OC content.

If it's a post to a store I feel differently about that. I'll probably downvote that. I'd say post a photo or series of photos and if anyone is interested you can have a discussion of the product. Which may then include the link to the store. Or maybe only link to stores privately, again I'm not in charge.

Edit: Perhaps the post title may be similar to classic art posts.

"Name of art(Product)" - "Artist(Person/Maker/Business)" -Year?(probably doesnt matter unless it's historical)

Something like that for other peoples work.

Stitching Vice (lemmy.world)
submitted 6 months ago by fujiwood@lemmy.world to c/leathercraft@lemmy.ca

I don't own a stitching pony so this is how I decided to hold my work. It's not perfect as the thread sometimes get caught on the vice and it's only three inches wide but it's much faster than trying to hold the piece with my hands as I stitch it.

#what bro you dont like sentences why not its good for everyone to be able to just do whatever they want its totes okay because then you can like be like really specific about your hashtag so only like minded people can see your stuff and you can make real connections fr fr no cap

Edit: JFC it's going to be so stupid.

Have you tried reheating pizza in a pan with a lid on the stove top?

It's kinda amazing.

I’m sorry to be the spelling guy but it’s “phobia” not “fobia”

I was wondering if it would be possible to add an option to schedule a post for a specific time/date. Not a recurring post or anything like that. I think that would actually be bad for Lemmy. Just a single post set to a certain time to help improve engagement.

Thanks

Orbitkey Refresh (lemmy.world)
submitted 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) by fujiwood@lemmy.world to c/leathercraft@lemmy.ca

I've had my Orbitkey Black Edition: Canvas for over five years and it has started to fray and become weathered. I decided to give it new life and remade it using some 5 oz Veg-Tan leather. It wasn't the most difficult thing to make but I like that I didn't have to replace something simply because it's old. I'm very pleased with how it came out.

I remember when Vice was "bleeding-edge-unwavering-unapologetic-raw-insert-other-catchy-adjective news! The stories no one else has the genitals to cover!"

I never personally thought that but I'm pretty sure that's what they wanted other people to think.

They prefer back and forth motion, shaking if you will, over a circular motion like stirring. Hence they don't spin webs. They prefer them shaken.

I'm happy to wait until Dev is ready to test or release. He made a phenomenal app for Reddit and I'm just glad he's decided to make it for Lemmy.

How am I supposed to make a filter to block "X"? I know Lemmy doesn't support it yet but on Boost I could add filters to block certain posts with words/names.

I'm hoping that Boost for Lemmy will have this feature but my first question still stands. Blocking Twitter was easy because it was specific. How am I supposed to block a letter? I
