The dude that runs that site and writes most (all?) of the articles writes some wild conspiracy stuff. Is there a credible source for this? Like from a person who hasn't said stuff like "If Ossof and Warnock win Joe Biden will have the votes he needs to impose Communism.".

It can't be enforced outside of their borders. And it's barely enforceable inside of them. Matrix chat will probably get more popular. Proton, and other private email services, will still exist. This seems like people who don't understand tech trying to regulate it.

ETA: if you think this is enforceable, look at how common piracy still is despite it being illegal in most places. VPNs, onion routing, alternative DNS, etc.

This is the wildest take I've heard. People don't trust meta because it's Facebook, because it's Zuckerberg. We've all seen what they do with companies they acquire (I used to be an Oculus rift owner). We've all seen how poorly they handle data, seems like there is a data breach every year.

Hell, when I was an Oculus rift owner I worked inside of Virtual Desktop some days. I'd argue that Meta killed my desire to work in VR.

If they could do this around the entire state I'd appreciate it. I never want to accidentally wander into Texas.

But seriously, how unhinged is this dude? How do you convince everybody involved in this that it's actually a good idea? Are the people putting up the fence just as unhinged?

It's not inevitable, you could stop apartheid.

Stakeholders struggle to give accurate requirements most of the time, they're not gonna be programming with ChatGPT soon. AI can really improve a good developer's output though.

You should return the PS5 and just do PC gaming. Maybe get a steam deck or another portable.

Hills exist, sometimes you need to go 20 miles, we have record setting temperatures every day, public transit sucks most places, and a lot of areas don't have bike lanes so you keep up with traffic or get ran over. E-bikes are good for everybody.

This incident has made me reevaluate some things. I could see this being a one off thing. Like an inventory error or a communication error. But the rebuttal was wild. Cancelled my floatplane subscription for now. Maybe they'll turn it around down the road, but this one was a big mess up.

This is like suing google because maps has address of places where crimes are committed, and judges agreeing with you.

This dude is a big part of why I dove into tech as a kid. Absolute legend.

x is used for map, filter, etc. a and b are used for sorts, comparisons and merges. y might be used if I'm doing multiple lambda expressions (but that means I'm in a bad place already). I have no idea why, but these are firm rules in my brain.
