If any of us just vaped in a theater we would probably be asked to leave but it wouldn’t be a big deal. It somehow seems like it’s worse because an elected official should behave better than my dumb ass 8 beers deep at a dive bar bathroom.

Obviously the exhibitionism is even trashier and more upsetting

Even before I was an adult and learned how terrible these places are whenever they'd show up on some daytime tv show as a solution to a kid in trouble with the law or “headed down a bad path”, it was plane as day they were just abuse centers. My parents are far from perfect but there’s no way either of them would’ve sent any of us to one regardless of what we were doing.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all, that thinking has infected everything.

He and everyone else in those movies killed it imo. I was suspect about Timothy Chalamet but Lisan Al-Gaib made me a believer

I panicked and bought more, if it dips back below $20 who knows what I’ll do

Edit: seriously, i did buy more recently but also the dilution means nothing now. The shorts still haven’t closed their positions, and with the cash reserves there’s no chance it goes out of business anytime soon. Either it’ll squeeze or be a safe long term investment as the company is rebuilt using that $4 billion. Be zen

I don’t disagree with him on the point that the old model has been broken but I think it’s more complex. I think it was Matt Damon that said steaming has hurt the creative side of the industry because dvd sales can’t make the budget back for risky project anymore. That’s not the full issue either though. Theater experience has been going down and there’s a billion other ways to get entertainment in a social way now. This all leads to studios desperate to keep the spice flowing to only back what they believe are sure returns on investment while simultaneously trying to cut costs by reducing or at least limiting the compensation to creatives. There aren’t as many risks getting taken and producers are reclaiming the power that had long been surrendered to directors and writers.

We’re almost back to the old studio system, if we ain’t already there

This is wonderful news, can't wait to hear what Dan and Jordan from Knowledge Fight move onto next

Look Billy Carter was a drunk but no one was ever as drunk as Nixon in the White House

It’s wild how many great franchises he and Ian McKellan played such pivotal roles in

There’s also Red Skull from the first Captain America, say what you will about Marvel recently but that one and his performance in it were both really good imo
