Hey, he is supporting the massive FL mansion and mega yacht industries.

Ah yes, you breathe through your gut. Even if it did provide oxygen you'd burn through it in a few minutes at most.

Contrary to the perception of the US public China and India are still developing nations.

I never answer unless I recognize the caller. If it is important they can leave a voice mail.

On the plus side I no longer get the weekly call from the Chinese lady.

Ding! It is a lazy way to pretend you are morally superior.

While I'm pronuclear we really need to invest in better nuke power tech. Spending billions, mainly due to the risks with current water cooled reactors, is handicapping it. Systems that minimize waste, use passive failsafe systems, etc are needed.

Not sure what this has to do with boomers. I've heard people of all ages grumble about having to wear glasses.

You need to arm 100 guys? 100 spears is a lot cheaper and easier to train than 100 swords.

Your brain deliberately forgets trivial stuff. Do you really need to remember every lunch you had? Same goes for all the mundane stuff in history.

On the other hand so little of the mundane stuff was recorded that when we do see it it can be a window into how people actually lived, like Samuel Pepys diary. The daily stuff was so accepted as boring and common knowledge that it wasn't considered worth recording.

Better yet. Only guy who knew the code retires/quits. The next guy who inherits the code finds out nothing was documented and it was all in the previous guy's head. Next guy has to spend weeks analyzing the code, asking coworkers who shake their heads and buying beers after work to get the previous guy to help him.

I'm still struggling with it. I clicked on a post that looked interesting and it took me to a server I didn't have a logon to. I wanted to leave a comment but I couldn't. Was I banned? Nope, I finally realized I'd been directed to a different server. Now imagine someone with zero IT background trying to deal with this. They'd probably just quit it.

It is interesting to be on the ground floor of something new though.
