Literally heard a group of boomers talking over coffee the other day. One goes " weird we haven't had snow, I guess it could be because of global warming" then another goes "yeah but not like we need to care!" Then they all had a big laugh about it....

Couldn't have said it better myself, haven't been back once since I joined Lemmy and I never will.
Glad someone else remembers this, all because ppl didn't like his "personal mini sub for every one of the trapped children" idea...meanwhile the guy he insulted literally saved every single one of them one by one.

I'm with OP on this one, I can't stand that everything needs an app to do simple tasks either. And subscriptions are getting way out of hand, the whole technological scope seems way more intrusive then it needs to be.
This is the stuff I come to Lemmy for. Love the quick feedback and positive approach to the situation.
