Probably my favorite game maybe because of some similarities with the main character I loved the redemption arc. I loved the capitalist socialist critiques. I wish more games would focus on that dichotomy.

Yeah my mistake. It is with ps3 games. My default is to think everything is terrible now. It wouldn’t be that hard to support back to ps1 I’d pay extra for the option.

I didn’t realize I was assuming that was over. Well good on them. Long live the used game market!

Execs and the late stage capitalism game they play is ruining everything.

If they would make them backwards compatible I would be more likely to upgrade it still bugs me that they stopped doing that. I miss my old PS3. That thing was awesome I even installed Linux on it and had emulators working… the good old days.

I didn’t mean to throw your argument back at you. I agree with it. I just read it and thought you could describe humans with it as well albeit not that completely or charitably. I think by no means should we allow LLMs to make decisions. They could help us be more objective maybe in some cases by educating us. But yeah handing over agency to an AI is a frightening concept.

And no of course wiping out civilization is not a solution. I can get pessimistic about our ability to avoid destroying ourselves with or without the help of AI. I still think world peace is largely unattainable. At least without some draconian controls in place and a whole lot of time and education. I could change my mind on that. I hope we’ll get there someday.

There is an effect there but this has been a problem before COVID. Anecdotal but a teacher friend has been complaining about this for years. I know all parents don’t have the time but we read a ton to our kids and helped them learn to read when they were just getting started.

You could create a table/bar top out of them with some epoxy resin
