Samsung appliances. Fridges. Washing machines.

Got them as part of the rental unit. They're very new looking. But every month is some new mess up.

God I would replace them if I owned this place.

Well obviously their computer still had viruses after buying the software

I love disco Elysium

If you forget about Lemmy, straight to jail. No question.

When I was a kid, I used to play video games while jumping around. I'd stand in front of the TV, bounce around, play Mario, run in circles. My parents didn't care.

At some point, society said that was weird, and I had a gaming chair?

Watching myself balloon (and already using a standing desk for work) went back to standing while playing video games. I enjoy it!

Eww gross but moving around can lead to death I watched a YouTube video on that. I'm not falling for that

A good company will use both. AI does 80% and a human does the final check.

Whenever I see those "All the companies that use us" banner, I shrug.

If I was a scammer, why wouldn't I include a dozen companies?

You don't want a giant ass pickup truck that drives like a tank, takes up 1.5 times the parking space and goes 8 miles on the gallon?

Well obviously the snowflake cop who didn't understand laws.

If you do it well enough, you'll get paid for it too!

Many people believe it’s an astounding $18 after a post on X of McDonald’s menu prices at a rest stop in Connecticut went viral and made national headlines. (Narrator voice: It’s not.)

Now, almost a year after the post, a top McDonald’s executive wants to set the record straight. In a recent letter, Joe Erlinger, president of McDonald’s USA, said $18 for a Big Mac combo was the “exception” and not the norm across all 13,700 restaurants in the country.

The average price of a Big Mac in the US was $4.39 in 2019,” Erlinger said in his recent letter. “Despite a global pandemic and historic rises in supply chain costs, wages and other inflationary pressures in the years that followed, the average cost is now $5.29. That’s an increase of 21% (not 100%),” he added.

Valve Corporation is being accused of using its market dominance to overcharge 14 million people in the UK.

"Valve is rigging the market and taking advantage of UK gamers," said digital rights campaigner Vicki Shotbolt, who is bringing the case.

HR software biz BambooHR surveyed more than 1,500 employees, a third of whom work in HR. The findings suggest the return to office movement has been a poorly-executed failure, but one particular figure stands out - a quarter of executives and a fifth of HR professionals hoped RTO mandates would result in staff leaving.

According to the report, most employees working remotely and in-person both feel the need to demonstrate productivity, which for more than a third of employees means being seen socializing and moving around the office. That intense need to be visible may actually be harming productivity, study author and BambooHR's own head of HR Anita Grantham concluded in her findings.

A full 42 percent of employees who responded to the Bamboo survey said they show up solely to be seen by bosses and managers. If bosses think their presence in the office is making any difference to the amount of work getting done, the results indicate that's not the case.
