Oh. Guess you are the exception. Good on you for escaping. Now you can give your cash, I’ll never be giving mine out to other than charities.

And they’re not an essential service. Let them take a massive PR and financial hit for screwing up peoples travel plans by not negotiating in good faith.

Word is that when a competitor tries to pop up westjet lowers fares and adds routes to kill them off then raises back up again when they have no viable competition.

I never give out cash. It will be misused most of the time. I donate to charities or food banks instead.

Can’t stand using cash. I’d be fine with an unregulated crypto currency that doesn’t need for profit companies, but never want to carry cash again.

I took Via from Vancouver to Toronto. Was totally awesome but $$$.

Totally support the workers here. Westjet is a shitty company. Won’t be flying them in the future.

They never intended to keep them.

100% if Apple didn’t have the easy return policy they would’ve never “borrowed” it in the first place.

Awesome. This mitigates one of the only significant threats if your phone gets swiped when unlocked or they know your passcode.

Just wondering if anyone knows which SAS connectors on the SAS826A backplane control which ports?

On my current setup only ports 8-11 are working so got some troubleshooting ahead of me.

The online manuals show the connectors but unhelpfullyndont indicate which ports are being used for each.

Also, anyone know what the ribbon cable beside the SAS wires is used for on supermicro cables? I don’t recall seeing it on other SAS cables.

That would seem to imply that tech commenters know less than Apple about Apple’s own servers. Shocking.

My bet is that is if Apple comments at all, they will talk about closing a security vulnerability rather than cutting off android users.

You mean that some youtuber who makes money off of views and clicks may not have done an entirely accurate portrayal of real world use?

I’m shocked. /s

I’ll trust CR’s testing methodology over “bend it with your fingers”.

Exactly. As problematic as CSAM is, adding the ability for on device scanning is exactly what untrustworthy governments would sell their souls for.

The potential to scan everyone’s devices for any content a government deems problematic could shift the balance of power in the world permanently. You can see why they want it so much.

I don't care about earphones. Make a fridge or a washer, or a car that lasts a decade without paying for repairs to impress me. They make much more environmental impact than earphones.

Besides for every set of apple pods there’s 10,000 Chinese knockoffs with even less environmental responsibility in th or production.
