Problems caught early are much easier to fix than problems caught later. This applies to any project (I'm not a programmer, but an engineer in the traditional sense).

Just "doing it" without coordination and review is a great way to waste a bunch of effort down the line with re-work.

Edit: typo

How are pardons a thing. Seems incredibly ripe for abuse.

I realise I have Google account, convenience at the cost of privacy. Just irks me that it's not opt in because if it were, their system would be less useful, and we can't give people informed consent can we...

"He or she" sounds and looks so cumbersome. "They" is the superior pronoun on style/conciseness alone.

I love spreadsheets (hey, we all have our weird interests) so at first thought this was an ASD meme.

Unfortunately the ACCC gives fewer fucks than you may expect. An airline once cancelled a flight on me and kept the cancellation fee, despite producing no evidence that any government had forced them to cancel the flight (this was during COVID).

ACCC did not care one bit

So while we do have some consumer protection (better than most) I would be surprised if they cared.

Says it's not available in my country, but yet it is install and unremovable.

I mean, good for you, and you're not entirely wrong, but you've got them in the wrong order. Luck is number 1, because the rest flow from that (education, connections, etc)

People place WAY too much of their own effort (which is important), and not enough on luck.

As long as you're very cognisant that for many, many people, the cycle of poverty is unbreakable to not fault of their own.

If yes, then, I'm happy for you and you should still feel proud of yourself.

Under captialism we lament robots taking our jobs, where under a better system we would be rejoicing.

Preach. Harsh penalties with no rehabilitation and an uncaring system with no safety net?

If you can't get a job and can't eat without a job, who wouldn't do crime?

I made a poster about this for an assignment when I was primary school, like 18 years ago. Ffs
