Reading some of these replies in here are cringe as fuck. Not because I don't agree with the overall sentiment, but rather in the fact that you guys don't know what language to use. In essence, you don't know your audience. Speak in the language that your audience can relate to.

When she says that her pay is dependent on the company performance, the reply isn't to talk about worker this and worker that. The correct reply to that is to point out that GM stock has been essentially flat for the last 4 years. Her job as CEO is to increase value for stockholders. Stockholders haven't seen a 40% increase in 4 years. So if shareholders haven't seen a 40% increase in that time, then how is she justifying her pay increase.

And ultimately, her pay isn't determined by her. It's determined by the board of directors. And there lies the problem with all these out of control CEO salaries.... it doesn't cost anything for a director to increase some CEO's pay. It's not taken out of their pocket. It doesn't affect them directly in any way, so to them it's like monopoly money. You get a raise, and you get a raise and you get a raise. Every CEO gets a raise because the director that approves one CEO's pay might be the CEO of another company who's director is the other CEO who just got a raise. You scratch my back, and you scratch mine.

If the Left weren't so timid, they would be all over this and demand he is examined for senility. Because, let's face it, that is exactly what the GOP would do if Biden started talking about the War of 1812 or how he will defeat George W Bush.

Sure, there are going to be a bunch of snarky comments and a few memes about this posted, but I hate to break it to you all, our comments on social media don't mean squat. We need actual people in positions of power to come forward and demand Trump get a mental health exam. But they clearly are too cowardly to do so.

I do not think it is a coincidence that Tesla has recently released the updated Model 3 to some decently positive reviews. I think that is in no small part to Musk being so distracted by Twitter that he hasn't been able to fuck up things over at Tesla in a while.

50% is a huge number. If the 50% represent some mid and higher up folks, it could really cripple a company. The worst thing they could do is give in. If the workers stand strong, no company is going to survive with half their staff getting laid off because of this.

They mention it like 4 times in the article, but don't explain what the hell "equal pay claims" even are.

They creates this mess. This is a perfect "LeopardAteMyFace" situation.

For the last 15 to 20 years car makers have been fighting over themselves to get a foothold into the domestic Chinese market. To do so, the Chinese government required these foreign carmakers partner with a local company. Those local Chinese companies then had access to intellectual property, engineering data, design, planning and a whole host of other internal manufacturing data that was decades ahead of them.

Chinese carmakers were a good 50 years behind the rest of the industrialized world at the turn of the millennium. These days, they are roughly only a few years behind, to actually beijg ahead of them in some ways. All while still having some big labor savings. These Western car makers essentially trained their replacements and they did it for that sweet, sweet short term profit, while the Chinese government was playing the long game.

They need to get rid of that clown Sundar. Under his "leadership" Google has been on an endless downward trend.

They are going to limit it to USB 2.0 speeds so in 3 or 4 years they can declare some new magical advancement and bump it up to full 3.0 speeds.

Apple purposefully limits things so that they have something to announce in the future. They aren't dumb. They know the advancements in smartphones has been starting to slow down. So they meter out the advances over many years in incremental updates to give their customers a reason to upgrade.

You will hear something like this from every reviewer after an Apple event: "The changes were small, but taken together the new insert product name here might be well worth the upgrade price."

"But we never had a problem before! We might as well cut the security and back-up budget for next year."

IT is one of those things that when it is running perfectly fine, no one thinks about it and instead they start to question why they are spending so much money on various services. But it is BECAUSE you are spending that money that it is running so smoothly. The allure to cut some corners and hire cheaper, less trained employees and cut back on security to save money is a big problem.

Tesla preys on young and naive employees looking to get their foot in the door.

For instance back on Reddit in many of the engineering subs, there were countless new threads started by fresh engineering graduates who were hell bent on getting a job at Tesla. Many of us would warn them to stay as far away as possible from them (as well as SpaceX) but they wouldn't listen no matter what we told them.

Most of these people weren't dumb. Naive, sure, but not dumb. Some of them had a plan where they would bust their asses working at Tesla for a year or two and then that would be a great addition to their resume. Would it work for them? Not sure, but I do know that HR departments do think highly of seeing Tesla or SpaceX on one's resume, so maybe that plan wasn't quite so bad. I sure as fuck have no interest in working there, but then again, I like having some time-off.
