It's always bronies, isn't it...

[–] li10@feddit.uk 69 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Truly the invasive species of the internet

[–] DefyTheLegends@lemmy.world 43 points 11 months ago

I thought they were extinct by now, because I haven't heard or seen that fad in, what feels like, years.

[–] ultimate_question@lemmy.world 37 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I feel like this reveals an uncomfortable truth about the lemmy user base lol

[–] InfiniWheel@lemmy.one 23 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Bronies are like furries in a way, if you look at the big picture for a second tou realize they run the (digital) world

[–] Gamey@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago (2 children)

For me as outsider they look even more desturbing, it's about a kids show and they dress up really fucking weard but I guess it could be a unfair assumption for om my side too, kinks are always kind of weard!

[–] InfiniWheel@lemmy.one 11 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Not a brony myself either. But most of them are just fans of that show, its not just a kink, a lot just really like the pony show.

We need someone to stop this again

[–] hoodatninja@kbin.social 65 points 11 months ago (4 children)

Who cares? Let them have fun.

[–] Anamana@feddit.de 20 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It's part of the fun, to get rid of the bronies on the canvas.

‘Mom, can we have an r/place?’

‘No, we’ve got an r/place at home.’

r/place at home: https://canvas.toast.ooo/

[–] Gleddified@lemmy.ca 73 points 11 months ago (1 children)

"My god, its full of bronies"

[–] pelotron@midwest.social 16 points 11 months ago

Mother of God....

[–] PrivateNoob@sopuli.xyz 33 points 11 months ago (1 children)

LETSGOOOO. Where was this announced?

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 24 points 11 months ago (1 children)

!canvas@toast.ooo

Completely missed it too

[–] yamapikariya@lemmyfi.com 15 points 11 months ago (3 children)

It's cause they gotta announce harder

[–] grte@lemmy.ca 11 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

The decentralized nature of Lemmy means making an announcement to the greater network isn't so easy. Perhaps the next time something like this is tried it might be worth getting instance admins of the larger instances (and smaller, but larger will have more reach obviously) to make featured posts about it beforehand to try and get the word out sooner.

[–] SomeBoyo@feddit.de 8 points 11 months ago

[–] callyral@kbin.social 8 points 11 months ago (1 children)
[–] WolfhunterGer@feddit.de 7 points 11 months ago (2 children)

I’m not on kbin so I can’t check it, but have you tried just clicking on lemmy and putting in kbin.social as your instance?

[–] MonochromeObserver@kbin.social 9 points 11 months ago (3 children)

@WolfhunterGer

@SubArcticTundra @callyral Nope. It has to be lemmy instance. It gives me an error:

Instance is not a Lemmy instance, you may not be able to receive the code (LemmyNet/lemmy#2657)
