AI really doesn't understand anything. You could sneeze in the general direction of that thing and it would tip over.

[–] Tb0n3@sh.itjust.works 46 points 9 months ago (4 children)

Also the mirrors are unusable by the driver, and the right side mirror isn't even connected.

[–] glitch1985@lemmy.world 53 points 9 months ago (1 children)

the right side mirror isn't even connected.

Never heard of Bluetooth? Wireless my guy.

[–] WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world 8 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

"Wireless" is a scam. You ever open one of those things up? Absolutely full of wires!

[–] thanks_shakey_snake@lemmy.ca 8 points 9 months ago

And they seem to be outward facing...? Designed to briefly blind its enemies so it can escape, maybe?

That’s because it’s not intelligent, it’s just artificial

[–] cm0002@lemmy.world 16 points 9 months ago (5 children)

You say that like humans don't have a long list of "inventions"/designs that totally wouldn't/didn't work but built it anyways lmao

It understands my camping needs.

[–] LazaroFilm@lemmy.world 11 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Ai understands perfectly what I want. It also understands it doesn’t have to be real

[–] wreckedcarzz@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago

How many soldiers to the gallon does that get?

[–] comrade19@lemmy.world 11 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Haha f*ck ive never heard of this

[–] p1mrx@sh.itjust.works 7 points 9 months ago (2 children)

I don't get it.

It sounds like a "war for oil" joke, but why would the number of soldiers/gallon depend on the vehicle?

Now I'm torn on what's better soldiers to the gallon or gallons to the mile

[–] jargoggles@kbin.social 46 points 9 months ago (2 children)

Where's the goddamn water slide?

That's only in the deluxe package. But if you ask me, those deluxe package buyers are a bunch of casual campers.

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 7 points 9 months ago

I am positive that roof is supporting a jacuzzi

[–] SkyNTP@lemmy.ca 36 points 9 months ago (3 children)

Considering that this thing won't fit under any overpasses, the furthest you are going camping is your backyard.

[–] sizzler@lemmy.world 22 points 9 months ago (1 children)

That's it in expanded camping mode, it all folds back down to the size of a 1979 vw split window camper.

Don't worry, the overpasses have also been redesigned by AI.

This is the kind of thing you'd see in the wasteland of some Dying Earth science-fantasy, a ruined curiosity left by some dead hubristic civilization

[–] zalgotext@sh.itjust.works 32 points 9 months ago

It's literally Pete's camper from A Goofy Movie

[–] BeigeAgenda@lemmy.ca 27 points 9 months ago

Did Clarence Thomas get donated a new RV, what does his handles need him to vote on now?

[–] HiddenLayer5@lemmy.ml 26 points 9 months ago (1 children)

And you just know that this is the family that will make your own camping trip hell if you end up beside them.

[–] fsxylo@sh.itjust.works 24 points 9 months ago (2 children)

I paid the GDP of a small country for these speakers, so by god is everyone going to know it.

"What are y'all doing just enjoying nature like that? BORING! I'm doing all of you a favour by spicing up your night with this bottom-shelf dubstep!"

[–] joker125@lemmy.world 8 points 9 months ago

For me it's always the nonstop generators running 24/7

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 18 points 9 months ago

A little balcony for every occasion

[–] Amitskaw@lemmy.world 11 points 9 months ago

Is this the RV from A Goofy Movie?!

[–] Prunebutt@feddit.de 11 points 9 months ago

This vehicle makes me want to wander around a completely paved planet, or possibly one with a naturally-occurring super flat surface

Somewhere a camper company executive is seeing this monstrosity and creaming their jeans.

[–] Drinvictus@discuss.tchncs.de 7 points 9 months ago

Nothing says camping like a sky deck and a pool

[–] doingthestuff@lemmy.world 7 points 9 months ago (1 children)

As someone wilderness camping below freezing on two separate trips this week -one in a hammock at the great lakes and another in a tent a little farther inland, I don't even know what I'm looking at.

That's my kinda camping - driving a mobile mansion into the not too deep woods, hopefully near a mall. I love that.

Nature ain't got nothing on human ingenuity.

This might persuade my wife to go camping with me. But it's far from guaranteed.

[–] ares35@kbin.social 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

it always seemed to storm whenever we went camping when i was a kid, and that's what all the campers looked like when you're stuck in a little tent during one.
