When I was in middle school I was reading a passage of some workbook in Sunday school and it said something with the word “papi” describing how different cultures call their fathers, I guess in relation to how God is our father in heaven. Anyways when I read “papi”, I paused for a second, and absolutely lost it. I never laughed at anything so hard in my life.

Just the idea of calling God “papi” is absolutely absurd.

Close second is in the 9th grade in speech class someone dared me to do the monologue about tots for one of my speeches so I did. I couldn’t get through more than like 5 seconds of it without laughing.

I was sitting in a hanging chair, talking to my partner. When they made a stupid, small joke, I giggled a bit. The hanging chair made a squeaking noise on that small giggling motion, which made me chuckle, which caused a stronger squeaking, and just like that, I was in a self enforcing spiral of laughing and squeaking. I couldn't stop myself, and ultimately my partner had to get me out of that chair because I had no control left from laughing so much :D

Was watching a laughably bad horror movie with a friend at the theatre which caused both of us to have a shared laughing fit that lasted hours! During the movie we couldn't stop giggling and people were looking at us, and both of us kept making jokes to eachother about the movie which just made it so much worse. Friend stayed at my place for a while and we were still laughing. I'm pretty sure onlookers thought we were on drugs or something.

When I got home we decided to play Mario Kart but we kept making jokes about the movie and were laughing so hard that we couldn't properly race and we just kept crashing into each other 😂

For fun I'm not going to name the movie but I'll give a couple hints! Very cliched scenes, silly jumpscares, and unintentionally funny scenes that were made even funnier by my friend making jokes about them. My sides killed me for days 😭

I can't remember, it's been too long.

Last Saturday watching Chris Thile perform his own piece with a symphony orchestra. It was so good and so funny.

Maybe someone will enjoy this as much as I did but this news story about a bear sighting... But I don't want to say why. I want the nonsense to wash over you as it did me the first time I saw it.

https://youtu.be/Y5C2gihnEkE

I have another too, this tiny frog, fiercely squeaking it's battle cry with all all it's might. It never fails to remind me of how Nibbler on Futurama looked cute but was actually a powerful race of creatures.

This was like 15 years ago, but there was a video by Videogamedunky on YouTube where he prank called places.

I was laughing so hard in my bed at night that I was genuinely wondering if I’d gone crazy.

Not sure why I found it so funny at the time. Maybe I was a bit tired too.

[–] Fisch@discuss.tchncs.de 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Tbf videogamedunkey is funny as hell

[–] RockLobstore@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 day ago

That’s…. The last time? Man you might need a night out on the town.

My partner is overly anxious about our child safety often worrying about things to an unhealthy extent. When sitting the infant up their head moved “too quickly” making my partner worry. After having to say multiple times the child is obviously fine, the child stood up and starts slamming their head into the bed, thinking it’s a game. They’d stand up and jump backwards onto the soft bed. Then sit up and slam their head forward. Just fun rough play at this age. I belly laughed harder than I have in a least two years.

After frequently “getting in trouble” over minor things like this, it just made me lose it that my child did the exact action my partner worried so much about but 30x more forceful because they thought it was funny. Hahaha! Infants are actually hilarious and make the first year of pain worth it.

Just now I hugged my child and said say daddy 叫爸爸 they then build up such a forceful “baba” that it takes them 10 seconds before they release their lips like a sneeze that makes you freeze.

Yesterday they also got upset to the point of crying that I wouldn’t let them have their infant scissors but they finally got to them when I wasn’t looking. Then when I caught them, instead of crying again they played it off smoothly by acting like they picked them up to give them to me lol

I was crying while reading through that one reddit post about a particular song he uses for rhythm during sex.

Looks like it got removed because the mods are unfun chodes.

The song and the post are funny, but the thread full of redditors taking it seriously is a bit depressing.

[–] Zahille7@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

It's clearly a shit post, but an absolutely amazing one. The roasts/comments are still funny though.

My beagle was running around the yard and his big ol ears were flapping around. My goldendoodle just sat there while the beagle ran circles around her as fast as he could.

One time I was out walking and as I turned a corner a pug was running at me full speed, which is a sight to behold - every part of their face and body seems to be moving in a different direction at once. I was still doubled over laughing when the owner walked past me and she gave me a dirty look lol.

[–] ouRKaoS@lemmy.today 3 points 23 hours ago

There are 2 types of pug owners:

  • My precious baby is perfect and can do no wrong.

  • You're lucky I love you you ugly little shit.

The "none pizza, left beef" story got me pretty good when it origionally posted.

[–] NKBTN@feddit.uk 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Pretty much that entire blog was golden. Real shame it's gone. I used to re-read pretty much everything once a year

[–] multifariace@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The internet was so full of life and learning.

[–] NKBTN@feddit.uk 3 points 2 days ago

And boring shit too, but at least it was human-generated boring shit

[–] DjMeas@lemm.ee 11 points 2 days ago

Austin Powers 2 when he fights mini me. I couldn't breathe it was so dumb and funny.

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

The book of Mormon.

I'm gonna say if anyone has an inkling they want to see it, DO IT. It's insanely funny. Scroll past my comment and don't spoil it for yourself.

For those of you who don't plan to see it, it's about Mormon missionaries that end up in Uganda. The beginning is very tame, and then they whip out this number. I felt like I might die due to lack of air from laughing so hard.

Last week’s The Rehearsal episode where in order to understand Sully Sullenberger’s state of mind when safely landing his plane into the Hudson he uses his memoir as a guide to backtrack and rehearse his life and major experiences starting as an infant, and progresses through his childhood and early adulthood.

Here’s part 1/3 of the relevant section of the episode but quick warning, it’s pretty weird and shocking even for Nathan Fielder but goddamn that has to be the hardest I’ve laughed at a TV show since Nathan for You:

I was listening again to Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality. It gets really hilarious at times

[–] Monster96@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

I watched a low budget movie on prime called Alien Invasion. There's a short scene of the main character driving by some homeless guy and he grunted to her when she asked him a question and she got scared and drove away. Funniest scene I ever saw due to how stupid it was.

For some reason I find glitching physics in games to be hilarious. This clip from AC4 had me wheezing.

This video of two Danes trying Surströmming fish had me in a laughing fit.

That was great, the end killed me.

I like this one too https://youtu.be/WtPQ2pxMHEU

And the Ordinary Sausage vid https://youtu.be/mammeRN_0n8

I was watching Best of the Worst from Red Letter Media, the episode where they watched Blood Debts. My wife walked in the room to give me a kiss before going to bed, right when she leans over, lips puckered, ready for a kiss, Mike's voice breaks through and we both here, "faced with a strong desire to watch a Filipino rape film." She just freezes, gets this look on her face, and starts cracking up, which then made me start laughing. It was one of those situations where each of our reactions kept making the other person laugh harder and harder.

I was riding my bike to work along the canal path a couple of weeks ago and came across a dog, that when told to move over to let me pass, looked up at it's owner then turned and came gallumphing towards me to play instead. It was so excited to disobey I nearly fell over my bars laughing.

The “José” episode of More Kitboga where he, as FTC Frank, pretends to be Jennifer Lopez. He wasn’t even on the line with José, but his impression of FTC Frank doing a Jennifer Lopez voice legitimately brought me to tears.

I was watching a Brad Williams clip where he talked about humping John Stamos' leg.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

Oh Jesus. I forgot about that.

I choose that one too for "almost ruptured a spleen" laughing.

Nathan Fielder, The Rehearsal, S2E3

[–] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 2 points 1 day ago

I thought everything in this show was scripted. No, the "numbers prove God is everywhere" guy, "Jews killed Jesus" woman, and Captain Sexual Harassment are all real people. It's so on-the-nose I thought they were all doing a bit.
