Saw dead don't die. I don't think you can make a worst zombie movie. So the bar is low.
They already made Battleship. That board game has even less implied plot than VS, so that argument isn't the roadblock for Hollywood that it should be.
The lack of plot can actually be helpful as it gives more freedom without upsetting any fans about breaking lore. Also battleship was a far better movie than it had any right to be.
Yea, it was one of the last things I watched off a streaming service when I was really scraping the bottom of the barrel before I cancelled them and I was surprised to find it pretty entertaining.
Battleship was pro navy propaganda like top gun.
Same with LoL
While not exactly a plot, LoL launched with a decent amount of lore, and grew over time. I still have my physical copy that came with a map of the nations and where main characters were from.
They wiped all canon because they felt continuity made it too hard to make interesting stories
Everything that came out since is akin to fan fiction
They rewrote the lore, and it now has depth with spin offs, books, online lore, in-game events, especially Legends of Runeterra. Shifting away from ryze as the main character was a great choice.

Meanwhile death does the narration and the whole time waxes on about mortality.

Could be a challenge, could also be an opportunity to make a genuinely good story because you have so much freedom.
For sure. In the right hands you could do so much. Even without a plot as such, or much lore, just imagine the material for a "Game Theory" video. Why is the "Mad Forest" now a dumping ground for evil? What was it like before the vampire? Does the Astral Stair connect to the Tiny Bridge? What is the Legacy of Moonspell? Where is the fried chicken?
Why are the floors covered in entire chickens that have been fully cooked are perfectly safe to eat?

So they won't need any script writers. It's already well on its way to make money!
There's a strong Italian influence in the character names, which are often quirky, pun filled, and dirty. I feel like the movie could be a Renaissance Italy sex comedy a la 70s horror films, but with a comedic twist. Like Suspiria or Vampyros Lesbos, but comedic.
Aren't they creating a Sims film though? If you can do that they can do anything
i mean, if someone was interested in making a fun movie and not a cheap cash grab, just having a basic setting wouldn't prevent them from doing that.
