Maybe they shouldn't have taken 30 years to redo ffvii and then split it into multiple parts that are released so far apart that I've forgotten how the first one even looked by the time the second was released

My goal is just to have a community where people can go and see what new game news is out for the day and comment on it.

I told myself I would play them after all 3 were released. I didn't think it would take so long
Yup, I'll check it out when they're all done.
I know a much of people who really want to pay rebirth right now. But are waiting for a more opportune time to buy a ps5. A lot of people are still feeling a lot of financial issues. Especially in the uk.
Or just waiting for it to come out on PC. I can't justify spending the money on consoles anymore. Squenix probably has a deal with Sony where everything has to be a timed exclusive, but on my end I'm not going to buy a $500 console to play a single game that will eventually come out on PC anyway.
For me, getting a console to play current games was cheaper than buying a new pc or upgrading my current which would almost be like getting a whole new pc at this point. Recently got myself a 3050 second hand though which felt like a big bump up from my 1050 Ti. But even then my ps5 plays games better way more consistently than my pc.
I have a PC now because of price gouging of the PS5 at release. No regrets, it's feels good to be back to full control and multitasking.
Not to mention the ungodly amount of indie games.
FF7 has to be the single most overrated game ever.
You go to hell!
You go to hell and you die!!!
I'm sure there's a mini game for that.
Same with Super Mario 64. just eerie and empty.
Ever? Maybe within the Final Fantasy series (VI, IX, X, XII and XVI are all much better, even IV, V, and XV by some standards), but ever?
Even at release or through hindsight?
I hadn't played the original. I loved part 1 of the remake. By the time part 2 came out, I realized I barely remembered anything from the first game, and I haven't really got the motivation to even open the box anymore.
Maybe they should release FF7 on Xbox
I don’t even own an Xbox and I think this would just be a good thing in general.
They did, I own it.
I was hoping they would eventually give us the remake but we got the stupid ff8 one
FF8 never got a Remake. It got a Remaster.
So they changed a shit ton of stuff on 7?
I mean, yeah. The FF7 Remake is completely different in every aspect. I'm feeling doubtful that we'll ever get it on Xbox.
Oh, fuck that.
I just want the original with new kick ass graphics and maybe the option to switch between new and old music
A really, really bad one, at that.
Will Square Enix can't blame Western Devs now. So it most be their fault. Years of making bad games bit them in butt.
This is also with the release of kingdom hearts on steam, which rocketed the game up to 3rd in sales or something like that.
I admit to grabbing that if for no other reason to help prod SE into going PC. Ain't the best port, but I enjoyed it.
I grabbed it so I could play it on the steam deck. There was a little slowdown during re:chain of memories, but so far so good!
That's a good reason! I actually stopped on KH1s super bosses mostly because FFXIV released a raid tier. Will get back to it, especially with a vacation coming up with a 12 hour flight.
They did say they're looking to change because this isn't news to anyone. We'll see if their new direction, if they follow through with multiplatform, helps save a dying company.
It took monolith 6 years (after the release of XC2 and they had built the engine and assets) to release 2 games and 2 DLC with massive worlds and stories, and Square can’t even make a game half of the world size.
I don't know that I'm really aching for games to get bigger these days, honestly.
Totally, I’ve enjoyed so many <20h games but only so few >40h games
