7. No duplicate posts.


If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.


8. Misinformation is prohibited.


Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.


9. No link shorteners.


The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.


10. Don't copy entire article in your post body


For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

As a former teacher who had kids come up to me many times asking "wtf?" when the Republicans were railing against DACA under trump, this just hurts to see.

Knowing that 75% of Americans support DACA hurts almost as much. The reason it hurts is there are way too many people in this country that are cult members of their party. This, Roe v Wade, and many others would make you think Dems would easily win over people based on their expressed stances on issues, yet here we are.

Meta note: in kbin both the NYT link and archive link look and work fine, but when I check on this post from a Lemmy alt using the Memmy app the archive link is completely broken and there is no image preview. Anyone know what’s going on here?

EDIT: looks fine from lemmy.world in a browser, must be a Memmy problem
