My parents still haven't accepted that I'm not even willing to marry at the ripe old age of 34.

Yes, I'm Indian. How did you know?

[–] jana@leminal.space 32 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I don't think that's as Indian-specific as you think

[–] TheBat@lemmy.world 12 points 9 months ago (2 children)

Yes but we have a society wide peer pressure system called 'arranged marriage', which I'm fairly certain, is much more crazy and persuasive than any other community.

[–] oce@jlai.lu 3 points 9 months ago

Not common in Western countries anymore but still is in many other countries.

Your initial statement made zero mention of arranged marriages. All you said wasn’t you weren’t willing to marry and that can apply to any culture.

Yes, I'm Indian. How did you know?

Weird, this was all I needed. Granted, I've got a good deal of Indian friends who've talked about this.

That’s cool. Not everyone here is an Indian and therefore assumes everyone is.

I think it’s weird that you automatically assume he’s Indian when all he said was he didn’t want to marry.

Hey I don’t want to marry either. Does that make me Indian? Nope.

Yes, I'm Indian. How did you know?

Wild, you can literally read the point where they say "I'm Indian" and still believe that I just assumed it.

Fucking read a book. Or read something that isn't emails, business documents and blurbs online. It will do you good.

It’s amazing you’ve made it this far in life being as dumb as you are. Telling someone to read a book when you can’t even comprehend the conversation is top tier moron.

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

You're the one thinking I assumed he's Indian before reading the literal words "I'm Indian".

Calm down kiddo, go find a nice YA novel and work on that reading comprehension.

[–] Coreidan@lemmy.world 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Wrong. You don’t even know what you’re responding to anymore because you’re clueless. What’s the matter dickhead not getting enough attention at home? Eat me

Not everyone here is an Indian and therefore assumes everyone is.

Wait this isn't your comment? Weird, because I fucking quoted it from your comment.

Shut the fuck up monkey.

Hey look someone figured out how to use copy paste! Good job little guy!! Now go suck a wet fart from your mom’s asshole and fuck off.

Reddit misses you, you should go back

[–] Coreidan@lemmy.world 0 points 9 months ago

Sounds like a hypocritical position to take when you’re acting like a massive cunt. You should take your own advice
