A few days ago I noticed a new problem with my right trigger: it wouldn't press all the way down with the normal force I apply, I had to press extra hard for it to actually go over the treshold and become a click. This became an issue in a few games, like Days Gone.

If you search for this issue you'll see it super common, but people's solutions are "scrape the shell with a knife around the trigger" and that's absolutely not the right advice. Quick and easy, here's how you fix it:

  • Go to desktop mode

  • Open Konsole and type: trigger_cal

  • Follow the on-screen instructions. The tool will tell you to release both triggers and press A, then, fully depress and release the left trigger, then the right trigger, then press A again. Done.

Reboot and your triggers will use the new treshold values. That's it, problem solved.
