does the post say "all men are murderers"? no, it doesn't. it is however true that a disproportionate amount of men are murderers, especially compared to women, the number of whom that are murderers of men or other women are so statistically low compared to men that it isn't even worthy of consideration.
men, generally, are far more likely to commit acts of violence than women. and the number of men who do, while not the majority, is high enough for women to be afraid of men in general.
under our existing patriarchal social conditions, men are murderers. they're more inclined to violence and present a higher risk than women. saying "men are murderers" doesn't mean "all men including you are murderers" it simply means that the threat is near entirely comprised of men. you should also be aware that we also don't think that this is inherent to being a man but a manifestation of social conditioning under patriarchy that encourages such behavior in men.

What's funny but somehow escapes the terminal basement dwellers is that the majority of productive women do not worry about this b/c they understand how stats work. But bigots are never smart enough to even understand basic stats.
you didn't cite any actual statistics, meanwhile throughout this thread people have been citing stats that prove you wrong. violent crime between men and women is not equal, and women are disproportionately victimized by it and men disproportionately cause it.
and yes, i'm fully aware these statistics compare violence by gender. no one is saying that because the majority of violent crime is committed by men, that the majority of men are violent criminals. you're being obtuse and missing the point on purpose.
with that said, the number of women in total affected by violence, sexual violence especially is indeed high anyway. even if it isn't all men, it happens enough that all women have to live in fear.
It's not hard to find how low the crime stats are. FBI posts them yearly. It's called google.
Obv you don't get how to make a statistical argument if you bull headedly stuck with it. In the end, while you're busy preoccupied by the gender distraction, a good amount of us are furthering the real divide, class. And well, while you're still repeating your tired, pointless arguments, productive people (men and women) are leaving you behind...happily.
Simply put, you can't say "too bad men are murderers tho" or any other derivative when you use a stat that doesn't actually support that argument. But again, bigots aren't the smartest lot.

You cant make a comparative argument and claim it's a population inference b/c the comparison could either be devoid of any scale/sampling consideration and/or the comparative bar could be set so low that it's misleading. Both are well known issues in statistical analysis as well as human biases that are well documented.

the FBI crime statistics were good enough for you a couple replies ago, but now you're concerned about biases? why does this only now fail to meet your criteria? why should the burden now be on me to prove the authenticity of the source you told me to find? i have more sources that all suggest the same disparity of violent crime between women and men if you have good reason to believe these particular statistics are misleading, but do you?

You used a comparison between two groups as supporting argumentation for a population inference. It's a nonsequitur fallacy. I believe you that men are more often the perp, but that doesn't mean all men are murderers or violent in any other way. That's what someone is implying when they say things like "too bad men are murderers tho". There's literally no qualifier to that...it specifically aims at men.

for fuck's sake you stupid ass, nobody is saying it's all men. the point is that violent crime toward women predominantly comes from men, and happens enough that women must live in fear because they are likely to have a violent encounter with men. saying men are murderers is not the same as saying all men are murderers. there's a reason the word "all" is used and isn't used. it is a fact that women have to be afraid of violence from men and men specifically. that is why she says "too bad men are murderers" because men are the ones that are statistically likely to take her life (among other things) when she's out alone. she did not say "all men are murderers" because that's a given that doesn't need to be clarified to anyone except for incel pricks like you arguing in bad faith.

men are murderers of women whether you like it or not. that doesn't and has never meant all men, but enough of them do it that all women have the be afraid and as such the sentiment rings true. she's not going to be afraid of women murdering her because not only is it a statistical improbability by a considerable margin, where on a personal level she's unlikely to have ever heard of or witnessed extreme violence from other women, but most women would have a story to tell you about men.
she has reason to be afraid of men. she has reason to generalize because even if it isn't the majority, the number is great enough that any strange man could be a potential predator to her. and none of that fear is unfounded. men are socialized under patriarchy that encourages violent rage and discourages healthy expression of emotion. it causes the statistics. it causes the fear women rightfully and regrettably must have.
men are specified and the distinction is made not because she thinks all men are murderers, but because if someone were to harm her (and the chances of that are already way too high), it's almost certainly going to be a man, not a woman. but, i refuse to believe you're thick enough not to understand this. quit bullshitting.
