I might've just beaten him to the punch on this one. This update is only for beta testers. I've seen him in comments before.

That's not it, he's very silent on lemmy compared to reddit

Well it's similar with sync. LJ was active on the sync community but was not active on other communities at all. I think it is more like a job for them now and that they don't particularly enjoy using lemmy
