It also need not be the same for each person.
Our universe has a funky property where what's unobservable can be more than one thing at once, and as of a few years ago it was discovered that separated eventual observers of something in that state can each measure conflicting results.
So the journey that each of us have past the grave may well be uniquely our own.
I like to think we move up a dimension. Maybe we already came from lower dimensions, but it's hard to imagine existing in physical space with less than these 3. Maybe next go-around we get to observe things just as easily in the 4th as we do now in the 3rd.
It's not so bad in 2, but the ladies are very pointy.
