I‘m not young but at almost all shows that I go to, the artists sell vinyl, some sell tapes and CDs as well. I like to buy vinyl directly from the artists so that I know where the money goes. There are also younger folks who buy vinyl but it’s mostly older people who buy CDs

Was sollte man üben? Die Anlagen funktionierten nicht und waren entweder zu alt oder es war zu teuer sie zu reparieren. Das waren analoge Rechner.

Im Fall der Fälle hätten wir mit der großen 100mm-Kanone oder der kleinen 40mm-Kanone halt ohne Radarsteuerung sondern „auf Sicht“ auf die Ziele ballern müssen. Haben wir auch geübt auf selbstgebaute Holzflöße. Getroffen wurde das Ding nie. War gut. Brauchten wir keine neuen basteln :)

Ich war damals Anfang der 90er mit der Marine im persischen Golf zum Minen räumen nach dem ersten Golfkrieg. War auf nem Tender (Versorgungs-Schiff) und als „Feuerleit-Elektroniker“ für die Radarsysteme der Kanonen an Bord zuständig. Hat leider nichts davon funktioniert. Das einzige was wir gemacht haben, war, dass wir zweimal pro Woche das Trockenmittel in den Anlagen wechselten. Ich vermute, damit sie nicht noch mehr kaputt gehen und damit wir wenigsten 2x 30 Minuten was zu tun hatten …

That could be simple to fix. I bought a used SL-1500 which had the issue that it’d only spin at 33rpm. 45rpm didn’t work. I opened it up and with some tuner spray I washed the switch (spraying it, switching it back and forth). Now as good as new. These things are built like tanks
