We have quite a few in our garden (in Scotland) although I know them as verbascums, self-seeded along with foxgloves. They can get huge. Love them.

As a parent myself now, I completely understand this behavior.
I've read that article and I don't see anything that could be considered hilarious. Imagine spending 3 or 4 years at University studying journalism or media studies to end up spending 5 minutes of a Saturday trawling the cesspit of xitter to cobble together 250 words of dross based on the ramblings of vacuous attention seekers.
I cant help but feel this is some sort of password reset question farming...

You're not the only one. I thought the Specials plus Church on Ruby Road were all great. Devils Chord has been the nearest so far, but still with issues. Boom...? A bit meh. Lots of Moffat tropes, and having Millie Gibson lie on the floor unconscious for 15 minutes felt typical of Moffat writing for female characters. Could have done with 5 or 10 minutes of trimming, and it wasn't even that long. I thought I was just being cynical (I probably am).
This is exactly what I do too!
Personally, I don't expose the port externally, so I'm not sharing photos via Immich right now. I host locally and it is on a proper domain with a lets encrypt certificate, and I use Gandi Live DNS to update the dynamic IP, but my DDWRT router is set up to only allow access from internal IP addresses and my current WAN IP. It does work externally, but like you I am bit vary of it. That doesn't just apply to immich. I do the same with my Next Cloud.
Immich is great. I very much recommend it as a replacement for Google photos.
I realize this person is just playing the YouTube algorithm game with the thumbnail, but urgh. I set up a locally hosted Invidious server recently and it defaulted to a page of YouTube trending thumbnails. Holy crap, what a dystopian hellscape that was.
