It is entirely possible to give children consequences without hitting them, you lack imagination if the only way you can envision giving a child consequences is to hit them.

Fucking hell, how is this still legal in 45 other states???

We have a long way to go

In case you're not aware, 538 was acquired by Disney/ABC, and he's no longer involved with them.

So yeah, he's just a pundit now, and his punditry was never that great to begin with. The Model is what made him good

Time to teach a fun fact!

Up until 2020, the official name of Rhode Island was State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

Providence and surrounding towns on the mainland were the "Providence Plantations", and Newport and Portsmouth, on the island also known as Aquidneck Island, were the Rhode Island part of the equation.

Yeah that doesn't mean they're gonna send a Republican to the Senate at all, though, or that it's a risk if you run anyone other than Menendez or a robot.

Northeastern Republicans are capable of winning governorships as moderates, largely because they'll have to work with a Democratic-controlled legislature to get anything done. The dynamic isn't the same for a legislator vs an executive.

Source: have watched Massachusetts elect several Republican governors in my lifetime.

Everett Ross is associated with Black Panther in the comics as well... And is basically a token there. But his existence predates the Disney acquisition.

NSFW tags are built into Lemmy and therefore it's possible to turn that off (whether using Boost, another client, or simply the web front-end). There's no anime tag, so you're basically asking for some kind of chatgpt-esque automagic detection of your disfavored content to filter it out.

Much easier to either block what you aren't interested in from all, or curate what you DO want to see via subscribed, no?

I am confident that's the case - there's a reason the mobile website is constantly asking you if you'd like to use the app instead... it's their preferred mode for you to view. Even if it is terrible, it locks you onto Reddit.
