archive.org link for those of us blocked by cloudflare for the audacity of using a VPN. Seems insideclimatenews doesn't really care about access to their messaging since they use cloudflare.

The Bisha battery storage facility features 122 prefabricated storage units, designed and supplied by China’s BYD. Each unit integrates a 6 MW power conversion system (PCS) alongside four lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery modules, each with a capacity of 5.365 MWh. This modular approach is decribed as a way to optimize space utilization, enhance system integration, and minimize potential failure points.

Emphasis mine.

Cool, was wondering what battery chemistry it was.

Ya I get the eery feeling that the sudden push for nuclear I keep seeing repeated is more a ploy by the fossil fuel industry to confuse and delay the solar and wind green energy transition

Excited to see more capable implementations of the tech.

Reminder to never be an early adopter of a new technology unless you are willing to pay the early adopter fee when its outdated next year (or month).

Damn I was planning on a sol-ark package in the spring...

Any recommendations for a non-connected (budget-friendly if possible) brand to look for?
