Nuclear is too slow, it's to late for it to have a large enough impact. The support for nuclear would have been great 40 years ago. This has gotten to the point where I basically see anyone pushing nuclear as pro fossil fuels.

Ya I get the eery feeling that the sudden push for nuclear I keep seeing repeated is more a ploy by the fossil fuel industry to confuse and delay the solar and wind green energy transition

It is also something fossil fuel interests can control, it is centralized and required large amounts of infrastructure and expensive fuels. It also requires mining. All thing they are familiar with. Renewables are distributed and can be done small scale with widely available knowledge.
