Well in that context yeah the only reason to get upset about this is if you have a problem with the mechanic itself, otherwise they should and would have started protesting a while ago.

As for your question: Yes absolutely. Such is the consequence of freedom of speech: people will have opinions you dislike. This isn't some serious irl matter, it's about features in a video game so let them have whatever they want. In fact forcing inclusivity might be the least inclusive thing one can do. Sure voice your dislike if you see a group playing a game you don't like. That is your right. But it is also their right to play that game (and voice their dislike at your voiced dislike).

Yeah calling this official support isn't quite what is actually happening. "Windows works now on the SteamDeck OLED" on the other hand doesn't generate as many clicks...

Well the contents of this particular change aside I could see someone upset over the principle of it. I'm not familiar with old-school runescape but if the salespitch really was "no changes unless the community approves them in a poll" then this marks a breach of "contract" (I doubt them only ever adding stuff after polls was ever contractually agreed on) on the developers part. Now that door is open so what else are they going to change without a poll? Is this going to be a one off or will this now become a regular occurence where the developers go over the communities wishes?

So, again, the politics of this particular change aside I can absolutely see why a player would be upset by this change, it's not the change itself that is worrying but rather what that means for the future, if players were sold the idea of control this change robbed them of that control they were sold. But again I have no clue about old-school runescape so I don't know if the community just took the status-quo as granted and never had any promises made to them that only polled changesmwould happen.

It's a trope way too many mangaka follow, no creativity on where to carry the story after the confession. Give us the awkward first dates, the misunderstandings from jealousy, I have to see all of that before my thirst for romance sugar is sated. There is so much to be explored within a relationship yet it just gets left on the table unused and up for grabs. I sincerely hope this story continues for a while yet because these two can lead us to so many wonderful stories still, and from when this happened I feel like the mangaka plans on writing more of this story, there is far too much unresolved plot to end this anytime soon.

well now you've got something to look forward to I suppose, try to forget the chapter number by the time you get to it 😉

not only did they do it but there was a Schrödingers Kiss as well

I have to be perfectly honest, I did not see that coming this soon. I fully expected the Mangaka to drag this confession out another 50 chapters or so, glad I was proven wrong though.

Begs the question where this is going to go now, obviously there is now the plot thread of Gojou being absolutely jealous but I sincerely hope we get to see more of their relationship after that. I'd hate to see another manga end with the couple getting together, seeing what happens after is also a lot of fun.

Seems like everyone around them is shipping those two. Though I doubt Shrimp's dream of more Urumin hardcore fans will become true given the other ultras consciously steer clear of her so the ship can sail

Danmachi (Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon - blame the editor for the title, the author originally wanted one matching the story more closely) comes to mind, that series has been going on for over a decade now and, at least for me, it has been getting better and better with every volume. It's got its problems (mostly certain characters being overly annoying) but it's awesome nonetheless. Even now (I've read up to and including Volume 17) there are still questions open from the first Volume with most plot developments only deepening existing plot threads instead of opening up new ones.

Disclaimer: Danmachi is also the story that made me start reading Light Novels so my take on it is bound to be extremely biased.

Lass mich raten: Politiker wären davon natürlich mal wieder ausgeschlossen... Der andauernde Versuch einen Überwachungsstaat zu errichten, bzw. auszuweiten, geht mir ziemlich auf die Nerven
