It may have been great, but not in a sustainable way.

For Epic those exclusive contracts were part of their advertising budget.

I honestly wonder how many indie games that started as an epic exclusive are still around today because of that exclusivity deal or if they only survived because eventually the exclusivity expire and they were able to list on other platforms

I think the concern lies in Alberta claiming they are entitled to more than 50% of the money currently in the fund

First past the post incentiveses two party systems, which is why people are desperate for ranked ballot, or something that can allow other parties to exist.

But it clearly says "Black Lives Matter" not "Only Black Lives Matter".

Fixed that for you.

There doesn't need to be an asterisk though. It's only a reminder to those who can't read.

"Black lives matter" isn't "only black lives matter", it was only meant as a reminder that black lives matter. Black people have always been killed more often by cops, and it's often brushed off like it doesn't matter. The black lives matter movement was meant to be a reminder that black lives also matter...

The phrase "all lives matter" was intentional misleading, like many of the talking points created and spread by right wingers trying to punch down minorities.

Up here in Canada they are currently doing it with "save our kids" while they are pushing laws to limit LGBT education in schools.

It's a lot of work staying on top of all the phrases right wing people are using against minorities 😞

The handout is dependent on the city updating their zoning laws to make building higher density easier.

If you have a gas stove you really shouldn't be using it without the fan running.

A power outage is one of those times as people are tempted to use it more and for longer if it's the easiest source of heat.

For future reference. Anytime people are talking about "their tax bracket" in a progressive tax system, they are talking about the top level bracket.

It's typically redundant to, mid conversation, list all the tax brackets that exist under the one you're talking about.

Driverless cars could really help solve the "last mile" issue in many transit systems.

I dislike taking transit because I have to take one unpredictable bus from my house to the train, take the train the majority of the distance, then take another unpredictable bus to my destination.

The issue of infrequent buses through neighborhoods isn't going to be solved anytime soon. But if I could take an electric driverless car from my house to the train I would be a lote more likely to take public transit over just taking my existing car.

Driverless cars will be cheaper.

Currently they might not be because of the huge upfront R&D costs, but they will be cheaper.

Like any new tech it is initially more expensive and the price comes down with time.

Driverless tech is also useful due to it being safer divers then humans in most situations.

Humans are still more adaptable in completely unexpected situations, but those cases are few.
