I think what you really mean is brains are not numeric. It's the "digit" part that is objectionable, not the "binary" part, which as an adjective for "digit" just means a way of encoding a portion of a number.

But in the end it's a semantic argument that really doesn't have a lot to do with the thesis.

When snow is so cold it is bone dry like a chalk board and squeaks any time it is touched.

Leaders shouldn't even be humouring him. Tarrifs are not his end game, this is just bluster and posturing to improve his negotiation position. I think Ford knows this, and he's just blustering and posturing right back, confident that none of this even fundamentally matters except as an opportunity for both leaders to "project strength" and further the global march to fascism.

In the 80s and 90s, Gen X were coming in late and the Greatest Generation was firing their our asses. It's generational because every generation becomes more concerned with punctuality.

The surge didn't happen for no reason, it was due to massive funding cuts that left schools with no other means of generating the income they needed to support their domestic students.

It's also reassuring people like the dozen nervous nellies in this thread that cycle commuting (ie specifically biking through the city with traffic on a daily basis) is a net benefit despite the perceived risks.

Conservative voters always vote conservative in every election. Progressive voters and swing voters only vote whenever the hell they feel like it. If conservatives are going up in the polls, that means moderates or progressives are intending to vote conservative, (edit: or that fewer progressives or moderates are planning to vote at all) not that more conservatives are planning to vote instead of not vote.

Do you think it is in Singh's power to prevent a conservative government? Do you think it was within Layton's?

The Agenda: Is Monopoly Power Undermining the Canadian Food System?

19 Nov 2024

A new report from the Canadian Anti-Monopoly Project argues Canada's food system is being undermined by monopoly. And while grocery stores have become an easy target for consumer anger over the cost of food, this report says consolidation has occurred at all levels of the supply chain. The Agenda looks at the implications of the report.
