Artemis is in closed beta, but it’s slick as hell lol. So that may be changing sooner than you think

I understand all the fear around meta. However on federated platforms, is all competition not a good thing?

Also I have to imagine the overlap between the type of people currently on federated platforms, and those willing to use any platform made by meta is rather slim.

Also what do you think about the comparisons with XMPP?

Just curious to hear your thoughts

FYI AFAIK desiccants don’t actually dry out the filament, they just prevent it from getting any wetter. To truly dry it, you could get a filament dehydrator or use a modified food dehydrator (among other options).

With that said, you might be able to use those, personally I’d just recommend collecting those “do not eat” packets that come with things and throwing those into your drybox.

They’re usually just little cloth packages of desiccant beads.

Personally, I store my filament in ziplock bags with a couple of those packets and it seems to work well for the most part. I also have a dehydrator (modified food dehydrator) though, which I use on filaments that were left out.

I just spent two days troubleshooting this issue so I felt I should probably share it.
In an attempt to solve some stringing issues, issues I swapped my nozzle, I had been printing Petg for the first time in years so it probably got stuck and prevented the nozzle from going all the way in. This likely solved my stringing issue but created a new stringing issue. I finally fixed it by unscrewing the nozzle and then reinserting it at 240°
Just wanted to share so y'all can hopefully learn from my mistakes
