Or much much longer. It's not going anywhere. It can't escape its cask, and outside human intervention the casks won't be breached. It's just locked-up metal that gives off some radiation, fully contained within the cask. It isn't oozing green goo.

All the waste a plant ever produces in its lifetime can be contained with ease on site. Waste certainly isn't the main issue, though it's portrayed to be. Cost of deployment and staffing are more prohibitive issues, and both are surmountable. I don't think it's a bandaid for all power issues, but it's a powerful tool that should be used more often, not phased out.

I'm not religious, but I grew up in a religious home. It's worth noting that "everything happens for a reason" and "God has a plan for everything" are not in the Bible and are not doctrine, as far as I remember. These are platitudes people with a poor understanding of their religion say, but not actually part of the belief system. This pastor likely has a more nuanced, and possibly more painful, view of this event through the lens of their belief.

Authoritarian doesn't mean exercising authority. Banning slavery did exercise authority, of the law, over slave owners, but it was anti-authoritarian. It took power, and authority, condensed wrongly in the hands of a few and, in theory, distributed it to the many, however effective it actually was.

I don't like the Democrats one bit. It frustrates me to have to vote for them. BUT, they aren't the ones demonizing me and removing my healthcare because of an innate part of myself. I'm trans, and Republicans are doing their damnedest to kill us. Democrats aren't helping, but they aren't calling to put us on lists and remove all of our healthcare, or make it illegal for us to change our names. Being a casualty of the apathy of those that think it doesn't matter makes me want to cry, every day. And we aren't the only ones! There are so many other targets conservatives are hunting and actively trying to hurt (people that can give birth, immigrants, veterans, etc), and no vote is just letting them get away with it. The Democrats are complicit and aren't doing nearly enough, I'd vote for a leftist even after the primaries if one had any chance of election, but right now I have no choice for my own self preservation than to vote blue.

Please, I beg you, think of those that are vulnerable and hurting if conservatives have power. It's not a good choice to vote blue, but it's the least bad one.

You could make an argument that infinite $100 bills are more valuable for their ease of use or convenience, but infinite $100 bills and infinite $1 bills are equivalent amounts of money. Don't think of infinity as a number, it isn't one, it's infinity. You can map 1000 one dollar bills to every single 100 dollar bill and never run out, even in the limit, and therefore conclude (equally incorrectly) that the infinite $1 bills are worth more, because infinity isn't a number. Uncountable infinities are bigger than countable ones, but every countable infinity is the same.

Another thing that seems unintuitive but might make the concept in general make more sense is that you cannot add or do any other arithmetic on infinity. Infinity + infinity =/= 2(infinity). It's just infinity. 10 stacks of infinite bills are equivalent to one stack of infinite bills. You could add them all together; you don't have any more than the original stack. You could divide each stack by any number, and you still have infinity in each divided stack. Infinity is not a number, you cannot do arithmetic on it.

100 stacks of infinite $1 bills are not more than one stack of infinite $1 bills, so neither is infinite $100 bills.

That's the nice thing about federation, you don't have to interact. If you don't like how a community is run, don't participate in it, or even defederate.

"C" has a purpose separate from sounding like "K." It can also sound like "S," as in "centennial", an SH, as in "special," or make a unique sound when paired up as "CH," as in church. Maybe there should just be a separate character for the "CH" and "SH" sounds, but that's not how the language developed.
